Did you know tt...

  • The process of grooming cleans the fur, and stimulates the glands in the skin to keep the coat waterproof.

  • Cats only have effective sweat glands on their foot pads and so they wash, using saliva to cool their bodies when hot or agitated.

  • Cats use their barbed tongue and front paws to keep themselves clean, along with their incisor teeth which are used to untangle fur and remove debris.
